In the recently aired podcast, I talk about community supported agriculture-what it is, and how it helps growers manage risks. I also discuss best practices in rolling out community supported agriculture. Community supported agriculture is becoming more popular among consumers who have grown to appreciate the importance of local food systems.
I enjoyed talking about community supported agriculture in the Ag Law today Podcast. In fact, I still can’t stop talking about it. I will be covering the same subject at a free workshop offered by the Florida Farmers Market Association. I want to invite you to participate. The workshop is for farmers market managers, farmers market vendors, and direct-to-consumer producers.
This two-day training will focus on business, marketing, and food safety best practices for direct-to-consumer food entrepreneurs. I’ll be offering a workshop on August 18 and there is a full line up of great presentations and workshops, ranging from ‘Food Safety 101’ to ‘Creating Systems to Increase Efficiency’.
