Innovation In Practice: AI, Technology, & Marketing

At J Haskins Law, we strive to provide the strongest advocacy as quickly and efficiently as possible — and to spend as much time as possible with our clients. To accomplish this, we use AI tools and third-party marketing professionals.

We think of AI as a sophisticated digital assistant that helps us work more efficiently on your behalf. Just as we might use legal research databases to find relevant cases, we use AI to help us draft documents and analyze legal information more quickly. This allows us to focus more time on the strategic and nuanced aspects of your case while keeping costs reasonable.

For example, when preparing court documents or client communications, we may use AI to:

  • Create initial drafts based on established legal frameworks.
  • Identify potential legal issues that require attention.
  • Organize complex information in a clear, structured way.
  • Generate explanations of legal concepts in plain language.

Third-Party Marketing Partners

Our attorneys need to stay dedicated to what we do best: advocating for and advising clients, not writing blog or social posts for marketing. Therefore, many of these captions and content are written by third party marketing experts. Some captions may be written with the support of AI tools like Claude. We say “support” intentionally, as the ideas are still our own and speak to the real-life scenarios that impact our clients and industry. Attorneys will still review all content and add context where appropriate.

We will not contribute to the “slop” with or without the use of AI tools.

The reality is that the internet is the primary way potential clients find us. The purpose of J. Haskins Law’s marketing is to educate the people of Florida, Georgia and South Carolina more broadly about slander, defamation, and internet defamation suits, as well as how we help protect our clients’ reputations. Therefore, the onus is on us to market ourselves appropriately and in the correct region where we practice.

We use these tools to enhance our services, not replace professional judgment.

Client Intake

If you call J Haskins Law, you may be greeted with an artificial intelligence agent to ensure that there are no missed calls,  and to make sure that consultations can be scheduled and paid for immediately. We use an AI agent (and named it “Aya” because it sounds like AI) to collect information for a more productive consultation, to give information about what our J Haskins Law does, and what defamation is.

Confidentiality and Security

We utilize various technological tools in our practice, including but not limited to LexisNexis, Claude, which we use to assist with document drafting and communication; MyCase, which is our case management and client portal platform that helps us communicate more efficiently; and BriefPoint, which we use to draft and respond to discovery requests.

We have carefully reviewed the privacy policies of these vendors to ensure they maintain appropriate confidentiality standards for legal practice. Your confidential information remains protected, just as it would with any other legal tool we use.

Cost Benefits

By strategically using AI and third party specialists, we can often complete routine legal tasks more quickly while maintaining high quality. This allows us to offer flat-fee and monthly subscription arrangements rather than traditional open-ended hourly billing — pricing that is transparent and predictable from the start.

Our Commitment

We believe in combining the best of traditional legal practice with innovative tools that can benefit our clients. Our use of AI is always in service of providing you with more effective, efficient, and affordable legal representation while maintaining the highest standards of professional service and confidentiality.
